The Academic Activities Catalogue is a tool that is developed by the Recognition & Rewards (https://www.eur.nl/en/about-university/vision/recognition-rewards) team of Erasmus University Rotterdam. It aims to inspire academics, supervisors and policy makers on what activities and behavior should be recognised and rewarded within the different domains of academic work (education, research, impact/engagement, and leadership/management). This tool can can broaden ones thinking about development and performance within different academic domains, and on ways to recognise and reward this. The catalogue is developed with help of several international documentation related to (reforming) research assessment, quality indication, impact and engagement and leadership, and in consultation with a group of stakeholders at Erasmus University Rotterdam. It is important to emphasize that this catalogue is therefore subject to opinions and interpretations of the ones involved. The aim is to inspire and broaden perspective, rather than to give definite answers.
You can select the view called Activities to find activities that are connected to a certain domain of academic work, or a combination (in example: activities that relate to Management of Education). In the Domains view, you can select a number of activities (in example the 5 or 10 most relevant to the user) and get an pie-chart indication of what domain you are active in. You can choose the view Competences to select a number of activities and retrieve a list of activities that you use or develop by these activities.
This catalogue is still in development. For questions or ideas, please contact recognitionandrewards@eur.nl.
